FDG has a vacancy for a Junior Frontend Developer.

Role Requirements

The role is primarily focused on frontend development, which typically requires the converting of layered Photoshop templates to fully-functional HTML sites. The role will not require any direct design/creative experience, however, having an eye for detail and having the confidence to liaise with the designers, making suggestions where appropriate and helping to steer the designs that are suitable for the web, will be a big plus.

FDG is a Microsoft Certified Partner. The ideal candidate will have appropriate Microsoft Certifications. While the role will be primarily focused on frontend development, there will be times when projects need to interface with backend systems, which are typically developed using the Microsoft .NET Framework.

Essential Experience

Experience of implementing web applications, with a frontend focus, including:

  • HTML5
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

Demonstrated ability to work with existing libraries and frameworks, including:

  • jQuery, jQueryUI
  • Twitter Bootstrap

Microsoft .NET Framework:

  • C# (Knowledge of VB is useful, but not essential)
  • ASP.NET Web Forms
  • ASP.NET MVC (to a lesser extent)

Experience of developing responsive, intuitive user interfaces.

Proven experience of working with clients and team members to define and refine requirements.
